Maya Rudolph is rich, divorced and saving the world in the first trailer for her Apple TV+ series Loot.

The workplace comedy, from Emmy Award-winning creators Alan Yang (Little America, Master of None) and Matt Hubbard, also stars Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Ron Funches, Nat Faxon and Joel Kim Booster.

When the series begins, billionaire Molly Novak’s (Rudolph) dream life — complete with private jets, a sprawling mansion and a gigayacht — is upended by her cheating husband, played by Adam Scott, who is dating a woman young enough to be their daughter.

That personal drama — which results in candy-filled crying fits and an ex-husband who publicly amounts her to a cocktail party planner — becomes fuel for tabloid fodder. But when the no-nonsense Sofia Salinas (Rodriguez) informs Molly that she’s got a charity foundation to run, and should probably stop whipping up bad press, Molly decides she “needs to prove I have substance.”

“To be honest, you only showed up today because you got divorced,” Sofia tells Molly in one trailer exchange.

“I never did the work to find out who I am. It’s really, really scary,” she responds, before Sofia bluntly replies, “I’m sorry, I don’t really care about any of that.”

What she does care about is making sure the charity can survive, pushing Molly, with devoted assistant Nicholas (Booster) by her side, to work with Sofia’s team — mild-mannered accountant Arthur (Faxon) and her optimistic, pop-culture-loving cousin Howard (Funches).

With a renewed sense of purpose, “the most famous cheated on woman on the planet,” according to Howard, is ready to do the work to discover herself, and in the process, help give back to the people who are helping her to do just that.

Written by Yang and Hubbard, the duo executive produce the series alongside Dave Becky of 3 Arts and Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Renfrew Behrens through their Animal Pictures banner. Apple by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is producing.

The first three episodes of the 10-episode series are set to debut on Apple TV+ June 24.

Another month, another batch of new content for subscribers to Apple’s video streaming service, Apple TV+. As has become par for the course, we’ve got some brand new shows and films, but the month of June definitely leans more into the TV series lineup. So, here’s a look at what’s coming to the streaming service this month.

June 2022 new TV and film premieres

June 3 – Physical

Rose Byrne returns as the lead in the dark comedy series Physical, which focuses on Sheila (Byrne) as she builds out her fitness empire. But obviously things aren’t going to go so smoothly for the hero of the show. Here’s how Apple describes the upcoming second season, which is set to premiere on Friday, June 3, 2022:

In the second season, our hero Sheila Rubin (Byrne) has successfully launched her first fitness video only to encounter some new and bigger obstacles in her path. She is torn between loyalty to her husband (Scovel) and the values he represents, and a dangerous attraction to someone else. And since she’s no longer the only game in town, she finds herself having to outrun some fierce new competitors on the road to building a full-fledged fitness empire.

June 10 – For All Mankind

One of the biggest renewals for Apple TV+, as this alt-history sci-fi drama has become one of the go-to options for the streaming service. This third season will see the show focusing on yet another planet, this time around Mars. So while the show is firmly set in a past decade, it is certainly keeping things timely. Here’s how Apple TV+ describes the upcoming season:

The propulsive new season of the alternate-reality series takes viewers to a new decade, moving into the early ’90s with a high-octane race to a new planetary frontier: Mars.

For All Mankind will see its third season premiere on Friday, June 10, 2022.

June 10 – Lovely Little Farm

This is a family-friendly series, set on a farm where some of the animals can talk. The primary focus is on family, of course, especially with a brand new baby in the house. Lovely Little Farm stars Levi Howden as Jill and Kassidi Roberts as Jacky. Cicely Giddings and Micah Belfour will take up the roles of Mom and Dad, respectively. The series is directed by Jack Jameson, written by Tony Cooke, and created by Maddy Darrall and Billy Macqueen.

Nestled in lavender fields is a lovely little farm where sisters Jill and Jacky nurture and love all their animals—including the talking ones. Being a young farmer isn’t easy, but every day brings adventure and a chance to grow.

This brand new family series is set to premiere on Friday, June 10, 2022.

June 17 – Cha Cha Real Smooth

This romantic comedy starring Dakota Johnson (The Lost Daughter) and Cooper Raiff (I Would Have Kissed You) is a festival darling out of this year’s Sundance Film Festival. It saw a lot of praise coming out of the event, and it was a pretty big buy for Apple TV+. The story revolves around a character named Andrew, played by Raiff, a 22-year-old who is “fresh out of college” and stuck living with his parents. Without a direct course in life, Andrew’s wandering a bit, but he manages to land a job as a motivational dancer at bar and bat mitzvahs of his younger brother’s classmates. Here’s the official description:

Fresh out of college and without a clear life path going forward, 22-year-old Andrew is stuck back at home with his family in New Jersey. But if there’s one thing that belongs on his nonexistent résumé, it’s how to get a party started, which lands him the perfect job of motivational dancing at the bar and bat mitzvahs for his younger brother’s classmates. When Andrew befriends a local mom, Domino, and her daughter, Lola, he finally discovers a future he wants – even if it might not be his own.

Cha Cha Real Smooth will start streaming on Apple TV+ (and in select movie theaters) on Friday, June 17, 2022.

June 17 – Home

Another season renewal, this is a documentary series is all about homes. Houses that are well designed and eye-catching from all across the globe. People are interviewed to talk about how “home” is changing, and how designs are reflecting that. Heres’ the official description:

Home is a deep look inside the lives of the people behind the world’s most creative homes. Explore their homes while they share the groundbreaking ideas and inspiring stories that helped them design their dream home.In this globe-spanning docuseries, meet the visionaries rethinking the way we live and create a life with the ones we love.

This docuseries will have its second season premiere on Friday, June 17, 2022.

June 24 – Loot

This one doesn’t have an official trailer just yet, but as soon as it does we’ll update this post accordingly. Loot is an upcoming series that will follow Molly Novak (Maya Rudolph) after she’s settled for $87 billion. She will “reengage with her charitable foundation and reconnect with the real world — finding herself along the way,” according to Apple TV+’s official description. Along with Rudolph, the series also stars Nat Faxon (Charlie’s Angels), Ron Funches (The One and Only Ivan), and Joel Kim Booster (Sunnyside), among others.

This show’s set to premiere on Friday, June 24, 2022.
